AIR HEATERS
Hot air systems comprise of a small diesel fired heater with a fan at one end and a heat exchanger at the other. Cold air is drawn in by the fan, heated by the heater and then blown down small-bore ducting to be vented around the boat. This system gives a good level of controllable heat and excellent drying properties, ideal for yachts and motorboats alike.
Hot air systems are ideal because they are light and compact and can normally be installed somewhere out of sight, e.g. in the transom space of a yacht or the engine bay of a motorboat. In addition to the obvious advantages of their size, the fuel and power figures for these modern heaters are impressive, especially for the avid yachtsperson.
